Leviticus 4:1 ! The offring for sinnes done of ignorance,

Leviticus 4:2 / Ebr. a soule.

Leviticus 4:2 a That is, of negligence or ignorance, specially of the ceremonial lawe: for otherwise the punishements for crimes are appointed according to the transgression, {Nomb. 15,22}.

Leviticus 4:3 ! For the Priest,

Leviticus 4:3 b Meaning the hie Priest.

Leviticus 4:4 c Hereby confessing that he deserued the same punishment which the beast suffred.

Leviticus 4:6 d Which was betwene the Holiest of all & the Sanctuarie.

Leviticus 4:7 e Which was in the courte, meaning by the Tabernacle the Sanctuarie: & in the end of this verse it is taken for the courte.

Leviticus 4:13 f The multitude excuseth not the sinne.

Leviticus 4:13 ! The Congregation,

Leviticus 4:15 g For all the people colde not lay their hands: therefore it was sufficient that the Anients of the people did it in the name of all the Congregacion.

Leviticus 4:19 / Or, make a perfume with it.

Leviticus 4:22 ! The ruler

Leviticus 4:23 / Or, the male goat of the folde.

Leviticus 4:24 h That is, the Priest shal kil it: for it was not lawful for anie out of the office to kil the beast.

Leviticus 4:26 i Wherein he represented Jesus Christ.

Leviticus 4:27 ! And the priuate man.

Leviticus 4:27 / Or, priuate persone.

Leviticus 4:28 / Or, the female of the goates.

Leviticus 4:29 k Read vers. 24.

Leviticus 4:33 l Meaning the punnishment of his sinne shulde be laid vpon that beast, or, that he had receiued all things of God and offred this wilingly.

Leviticus 4:35 m Or, besides the burnt offrings, which were daily offred to the Lord.
