Numbers 31:3 ^a As he had commanded, {Chap. 25,17}: declaring also that the injurie done against his people is done against him.

Numbers 31:6 ^b For his great Zeale that he bare to the Lord, {Chap. 25,13}.

Numbers 31:8 ^! Fiue kings of Midian & Balaam are slaine.

Numbers 31:8 ^c The false prophet who gaue counsel how to cause the Israelites to offend their God.

Numbers 31:10 ^/ Or, palaces & gorgious buyldings.

Numbers 31:12 ^d As the women & litle children.

Numbers 31:15 ^e As thogh he said, Ye oght to haue spared none.

Numbers 31:16 ^f For worshipping of Peor.

Numbers 31:17 ^g That is, all the men children.

Numbers 31:18 ^! Onely the maides are reserued aliue.

Numbers 31:42 ^o Of that part which was giuen vnto them, in deuiding the spoile.

Numbers 31:47 ^p Which had not bene to warre.

Numbers 31:49 ^! A present giuen of Israel.

Numbers 31:49 ^/ Ebr. vnder our bands.

Numbers 31:50 ^q The captaines by this fre offring acknowledge the great benefit of God in preseruing his people.

Numbers 31:53 ^r And gaue no porcion to their captaines.

Numbers 31:54 ^s That the Lord might remember the children of Israel.
