Geneva Bible Notes: Psalms 43

Psalms 43:1 a He desireth God to vndertake his cause against the enemies, but chiefly that he wolde restore him to the Tabernacle.

Psalms 43:1 b That is, the cruel companie of mine enemies.

Psalms 43:1 ! He praieth to be deliuered from them which conspire against him, that he might joyfully praise God in his holie Congregacion.

Psalms 43:3 c To wit, thy fauour, which appeareth by the performance of thy promises.

Psalms 43:4 d He promiseth to offre a solemne sacrifice of thankesgiuing in token of his great deliuerance.

Psalms 43:5 e Whereby he admonisheth the faithful not to relent but constantly to waite on the Lord, thogh their troubles be long & great.
