Geneva Bible Notes: Proverbs 28

Proverbs 28:1 ^a Because their owne conscience accuseth them.

Proverbs 28:2 ^b The state of the commune weale is often times changed.

Proverbs 28:8 ^c For God wil take awaie the wicked vsurer, & giue his goods to him that shal bestowe them wel.

Proverbs 28:9 ^d Because it is not of faith, which is grounded of Gods word, or Law, which the wicked contemne.

Proverbs 28:11 ^e And judge that he is not wise.

Proverbs 28:12 ^f He is knowen by his doings to be wicked.

Proverbs 28:14 ^g Which standeth in awe of God and is afraid to offend him.

Proverbs 28:15 ^h For he can neuer be satisfied, but euer oppresseth and spoileth.

Proverbs 28:17 ⁱ None shalbe able to deliuer him.

Proverbs 28:21 ^k He wil be abused for nothing.

Proverbs 28:22 ^l Meaning him that is couetous.

Proverbs 28:25 ^m Shal haue all things in abundance.
